Wednesday 2/14 - Hebrews 2 - “Seeing with your Ears pt.2”

What is the problem that Hebrews Identifies in Hebrews 2:8 regarding what we see?

Have you ever had the type of experience discussed in the video where hope gave way to discouragement? Write or discuss a time when you got to a point where it seemed “mountains were as far as you can see.” How did you respond at that moment?

What does the phrase “now, but not yet” mean to you regarding hope? What do you hope for down the road that you do no see?

Ultimately the writer desires that when we face trials and temptations we remember what we have heard and we see Jesus in the midst of it all. In verse 2:5-9 the writer Injects Jesus into the message of Psalm 8. How does the message of not just who he is but what he has done encourage you?

Seeing with our ears doesn’t come naturally, We need to put time into hearing his word. Spend time praying that God will help you stay rooted in what you have heard from him. His promises, his faithfulness, his forgiveness. Pray for a specific situation right now where you are struggling to see with your ears.

We will wrap up chapter 2 tomorrow.
